During From Seed to Pasta 5, international researchers and experts will present the latest innovations in agronomy, genetics, and biodiversity, along with strategies to improve the quality and safety of semolina and pasta.
Dedicated sessions will also focus on traceability and food safety within the supply chain, where pest management in warehouses and storage facilities plays a crucial role.
Being part of this event means promoting innovation and collaboration across the entire wheat supply chain, which today must meet the needs of increasingly health- and sustainability-conscious consumers.
The presence of insects and pests can compromise the quality of semolina and pasta, leading to economic losses and food safety risks. An effective Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program requires coordinated actions—from monitoring to physical, biological, and chemical control—within a system designed to prevent infestations.
In this context, controlled fumigation is an effective solution for protecting stored grains, ensuring compliance with international standards and preserving product quality.
During the event, we will explore this topic with Alexander Stock, Business Development Manager Europe at Douglas Products, who will present the latest fumigation technologies.
