This year, we have chosen to support the Save the Bees project by purchasing jars of 100% Made in Italy honey for the holiday season. Through Save the Bees, we contribute to the development and growth of initiatives aimed at ensuring the survival of bees.
The work of bees brings numerous benefits to the entire ecosystem, and the products of the hive, the result of their tireless activity, are invaluable to humanity.
For this reason, we have decided to support both the bees and the beekeepers, guardians of authentic traditions and continuous seekers of product quality.
Honey production requires hard work and dedication, but its richness in nutrients and health benefits makes it an inexhaustible source of energy and one of the best foods for our well-being.

In addition to the more well-known varieties like Acacia, Chestnut, and Wildflower Honey, Thistle Honey is highly valued. It is often used in cooking for its detoxifying properties, making it an ideal food for addressing certain intestinal issues.
Another type of honey known for its health benefits is Honeydew Honey, or simply Honeydew. This variety is rich in minerals and vitamins, offering exceptional nutritional value.
Unlike nectar-based honey, honeydew is collected from trees. It is a byproduct excreted by insects that feed on plant sap and serves as a valuable food source for bees as well.
The Save the Bees project is part of a broader initiative to safeguard biodiversity and preserve nature under the slogan: “Let’s plant flowers to save the bees.” The project can be supported through donations or purchases.
A portion of the proceeds from product sales is used to plant fields of melliferous plants, providing bees with more food sources essential for their survival. In addition to planting, the funds are used to reintroduce beehives into natural environments.
Each jar of honey purchased includes a packet of melliferous plant seeds, encouraging consumers to plant them in their own gardens.
Melliferous plants belong to a species that produces nectar, a substance from their flowers that attracts bees.
The Apis genus plays an irreplaceable role in pollinating flowers and plants, contributing not only to honey production but also to the creation of other hive products.
Through the Save the Bees project, we have the opportunity to plant and cultivate melliferous plants rich in pollen and nectar. By planting even a small seed, we ensure a reliable food source for bees and contribute to the preservation of our planet with a simple gesture.
Colkim supports this project with full awareness of the critical role bees play in protecting the environment. Their survival is vital for the broader goal of environmental sustainability.
