Our production site is based in Ozzano dell’Emilia and covers an area of more than 500 square meters, with two specialized plants: the first dedicated to the production of topicals and insecticides, the second to the storage of gases for fumigations for which Colkim is the exclusive distributor in Italy.
Colkim holds many PMC and biocide registrations for professional use. The regulatory office is in charge of registering new products and ensuring, that when they are placed on the market, they comply with Italian and European regulations (CLP, REACH, Regulation (EU) No.528/2012, etc.).
Quality control is responsible for making sure that all products meet certain protocols and for checking that the finished product meets quality standards. Our specialized chemists collaborate with the research and development department to develop new products, whose formulations are studied and tested in the laboratory before field trials for efficacy.
We invest in research and development of integrated pest management systems based on knowledge of the biological cycle, habits and their behaviors in order to contain the proliferation of species of human sanitation concern. Since 2023, Colkim has opened the first biofactory in Italy for breeding beneficial insects.
