Pheromones are chemical signals that facilitate the communication of various information between individuals of the same species, while kairomones are interspecific: both can act as attractants for lepidopterans, beetles and other insects.
Capsules containing pheromones for monitoring insects, to be used in combination with special sticky traps. Pheromones may be species-specific or multi-species, with mixtures of species-specific substances, differing in composition and concentration.

Food pests, particularly lepidopterans and beetles, live in close contact with the food substrate and can damage a wide range of foods, posing a serious threat to the entire food chain.
It is often the larval forms that feed and develop on food products such as cereals, flours, pasta, seeds, nuts, cocoa, and in some cases even fabrics and textiles, deteriorating them. Some species of adult lepidoptera and beetles can also attack already altered grains and meat chain products.
Targeted application with pheromones enables accurate assessment of the presence of food insects. To identify the species present in the facility, at an early stage of monitoring, it may be useful to place traps activated with multispecies pheromones that are capable, that is, of attracting a wide range of possible pests.
Dome Trap Quick Change is a beetle monitoring station capable of trapping more than 25 species of food pests thanks to the new mixture of specific kairomones and pheromones that increase the attraction spectrum of this trap.
