Mechanical traps

Designed to catch mice and rats, they can be single- or multi-catch. Some traps, to increase capture efficiency, require an olfactory and/or food attractant, while others ensure immobilisation without any additives.

Glue traps

Designed to attract, capture and prevent the escape of the target pest. There is usually a food attractant built into the glue. Some types of traps can be integrated into monitoring systems for safe use (e.g. safeguarding non-target animals).

Catch traps: types of use

Among the various types of mechanical traps, the main differences to consider are those between single or multiple catch traps and live and non-live catch traps. Devices of the first type allow only one individual to be captured at a time, as the triggering device must be rearmed after each entry. Multiple-capture mechanisms, on the other hand, can immobilize multiple individuals without any maintenance. Live traps leave the animal alive; non-live traps sacrifice the animal once captured.

The innovative iQ line of traps with integrated technology

With iQ™ technology integrated into Bell traps, rodent presence can be monitored with great accuracy and ease, improving intervention management and service quality. In fact, through theBell Sensing app, the data collected by the sensors can be accessed when the operator approaches the stations. This optimizes inspection time to focus on inspection strategies to better match the real needs of the site in question.
