On March 27 and 28, 2023, an important industry event organized by the Associated Fumigation Companies (IFA) will take place in Campi Bisenzio, Tuscany: the IFA Meeting 2023, titled “The Importance of Fumigation with Toxic Gases in Italy.”
Colkim is a sponsor of the meeting, actively supporting the organization of the event, and will participate as a distributor of fumigation gases alongside key players in the sector.

Discussing the use of fumigant gases involves examining their modes of action and effectiveness. Factors such as the target pest, its life stage, and the environment in which it resides dictate the conditions for a specific fumigation process.
This highlights the importance of the event. The IFA Meeting serves as both a forum for discussion and exchange on fumigation topics and a practical, operational training opportunity.
Colkim will participate with a presentation on the uses of fumigant gases, in collaboration with its partners Detia Degesch and Douglas. The focus will include applications in infrastructure, food safety, cultural heritage preservation, and international trade.
Founded in 1994, the association represents companies specializing in providing fumigation services using toxic gases on ships, imported and exported goods, and wood packaging materials. IFA also includes operators skilled in pest control treatments for food commodities and various types of structures.
